It was a job like any other...

It was a job like any other. Mathias Nielsen, then an agency owner building WooCommerce stores, had a client who wanted his WooCommerce store connected to a POS system he could use for his brick-and-mortar store.

...Only it wasn't so simple. No POS solution available in the market was adaptable enough, nor reliably synchronized with WooCommerce. So, Mathias set about creating his own solution: Oliver POS.

We've come a long way

Since those humble beginnings, our team has grown to over 30 people, spanning 3 continents. In addition to Oliver POS, we have released Kiosk, Pay, Hardware & Sites (coming soon!).

Whatever your use case, Oliver is up to the challenge because of our intrepid team. Adaptability is baked into our company culture, just as it is in our product line.

Home sweet home

Our HQ is located in the heart of downtown St. John’s, Newfoundland. We like to call it the "Silicon Rock" of Canada, and we're proud to be one of the most innovative companies based here.

We also have offices in Germany and India, so whether you're looking for customer support or a job, chances are we're not all that far away from you, wherever you are.

What bands us together at Oliver is our shared ambition to build the best possible POS system for WooCommerce. And our decision to focus on WooCommerce was and is a very deliberate one.

More than any ecommerce platform out there, WooCommerce empowers merchants to grow on their own terms — nobody else's. Many of us come from entrepreneurial families, and not making compromises is in our DNA.
